Light and buttery flatbread pizza crust ready to hold all of your favorite toppings. This gluten free pizza crust is made with healthy, whole food ingredients.
What I like about this recipe is the simplicity of it and the fact that you can easily throw all the ingredients in the food processor and blend. This pizza crust is like a light, crumbly flatbread. It's similar to my sourdough pizza crust that I make with sourdough discard, but the gluten free crust is not as heavy. And of course, its more suitable for people who have a significant gluten allergy or celiac disease.
Tips For Success
I would avoid putting too many toppings on this crust. With gluten free baking, you don't have the gluten to hold the dough together and so it will crumble easier. Also, make sure to not add toppings that are too wet. Veggie toppings should be cooked first and laid out on a paper towel (if needed) before adding to the pizza.
For this recipe, it is the easiest to roll out the dough on parchment paper and then slide the parchment paper onto the pizza pan. The dough is a bit crumbly, so it can fall apart easily if you don't use parchment paper. The paper also makes it easier to clean up.
Lastly, I recommend pre-baking this crust and baking it under 400 degrees F. This reduces burning.
