Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup high-quality bone broth chicken or beef, unsalted or lightly salted
  • 1 cup raw milk
  • ¼ cup raw cream
  • 1-2 tbsp cocoa powder or chopped dark chocolate
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup or raw honey to taste
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Optional additions:

  • Cinnamon or nutmeg
  • Collagen peptides for extra protein
  • A splash of espresso for a mocha-style drink

Instructions

Warm the Liquids

  • In a small saucepan over low to medium heat, add the bone broth, raw milk, and cream. Heat gently, stirring often, until warm but not boiling.

Add Chocolate and Sweetener

  • Whisk in the cocoa powder or chopped chocolate, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Continue whisking until fully smooth and well combined.

Heat Gently

  • Allow the mixture to heat through for another 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly. Avoid boiling to preserve flavor and texture.

Serve Warm

  • Pour into mugs and enjoy immediately. Top with a swirl of cream, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, or a dash of cinnamon if desired.

Notes

Tips for the Best Flavor

  • Use mild bone broth with no added herbs or garlic
  • Choose high-quality cocoa or chocolate for the best taste
  • Sweeten gradually, tasting as you go
  • Blend if needed for ultra-smooth texture
If you’re new to bone broth drinks, start with half broth and half milk, then increase the broth as your taste adjusts.
